Atmega 16 : The First Baby Steps for Beginners !!


New to AVR series of the micro controllers , one of the most common, feature packed controller and easy to use platform. Here we will be learning just a bit of the theory and lots of the practical I mean lots of it. So this article will be structured as follows :-

  1.  What is a micro controller
  2. Learning the basics of the AVR series Specifically Atmega-16
  3. Pre-requisites (C – programming , Basic knowledge of operating a PC)
  4. Installing the software
  5. Configuring the

There are two parts in this whole schedule

  • Generating the software
    • Using tools like AVR Studio or Keil uVision
  • Testing the software
    • Using Simulation tools like Proteus ISIS
    • Testing on the real hardware
